Manitoba is a short movie by Mirka Duijn and Nina Spiering about a man (Raymond Thiry) who washes ashore on a strange island. He seeks refuge in the only pub in a desolate village: cafe Manitoba. Unfortunately the cafe is not the safe haven he had hoped for. Manitoba is a short film by Mirka Duijn & Nina Spiering, produced by Marieke de Blaay. It has had it's grand premiere at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam, was selected for the Cannes Filmfestival and nominated for the Best Debut Film at the Dutch Filmfestival.
